Recently opened for trekking and expedition Manaslu region is intact and unspoiled paradise of Nepal which offers thrilling and soul stirring experience. Penetrating the lower part of Gorkha alongside of flurry and bumpy Budhi Gandaki River, we ascend towards Buddhist villages with Semi-Tibetan cultural practices. One day drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola via Kathmandu- Dhadingbesi- Aarughat road takes us to put in point of trekking then we walk via beautiful village of western hill, river gorges, convention villages, and lush forests. Pristine biological diversity and cultural diversity make your journey memorable. Throughout the trekking, you will be exhilarated by mesmerizing view of the land of snow and colorful landscapes around. The alluring mountain chain, hanging glaciers and frozen lakes and snow rivers also make your journey rewarding.

We will have an adventurous experience of walking in far flung places of Himalayan region as we pass the Larke Pass at the elevation of 5213m from sea level, steep trail alongside of rives and landslide trail with glacier debris. Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival (1310 M)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by representative from Real Adventure Nepal Tour and Travel and transferred to hotel around central tourist of Thamel. After check in to hotel you can take rest and stroll around Thamel and enjoy evening having mouthwatering cuisine in one of the many famous restaurants with cultural shows. In evening professional tour and trekking guide meets you and brief you about major highlights of tour and trekking and suggest some necessary preparation to be made before we set off for trekking. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 02: Full day Kathmandu Tour.

After breakfast, professional tour guide comes to your hotel with hired tourist van/car and takes to you UNESCO listed cultural heritage sites of Kathmandu valley. Major places we visit include, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath (The Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath and Boudhhanath. While visiting these places, we explore combination of ancient art, architecture, historical monuments and craftsmanship. Ancient royal palaces, hundreds of religious shrines, vividness of Hinduism and Buddhism, traditional market center and courtyard are major highlights of Kathmandu City Tour. After well spent day, we make necessary arrangement and preparations like backpacking and getting trekking permission for trekking. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola

Today we have early breakfast and drive to Sotikhola in comfortable our wheeler via Prithivi highway, alongside of Trishuli river. From Malekhu we cross bridge and follow the road alongside of Thopal Khola. On the way we pass via beautiful villages like Parewatar, Bungchug, farming terraces, forest and cross small streams several times until we reach to Dhadingbesi. Leaving Dhadingbesi behind we drive on jerky road via hilly road passing various villages. After crossing bridge in Tarabesi we drive via Salyantar. Again we cross bridge and reach to Aarughat Gorkha and follow the road alongside of Budi Gandaki river until we reach to Sotikhola, a beautiful village beside river. Overnight in Sotikhola.

Day 04: Trek to Machhakhola (870m)

After having breakfast, we commence trekking. We cross famous suspension bridge of Sotikhola and enter into lush forest of tallest Sal trees alongside of Budhi Gandaki River. After 3 hours walk inside forest we come to landside area where trail is full of debris and we should pay extra attention. After rock cliff, we again walk amid forest until we reach to Lapubesi village. After Lapubesi, we hike via rock cliff for a while and passes farming terraces, forest, waterfalls and small streams, and landslide debris. At the confluence of Budhi, Gandaki and Machhakolha we see small village with small lodges and beautiful sandy beach and farming terrace alongside of Machhakhola. Overnight in Machhakola.

Day 05: Trek for Machhakhola to Jagat

After having delicious breakfast, we walk on smooth road inside a thick forest alongside of Budhi Gandaki River. On the way we enjoy view of pristine forest cool breeze blowing from Himalaya and Budhi Gandaki River. After couple of hour walking we meet confluence of small stream full of boulders and Budhi Gandaki River and settlement of Khorlabesi village. Now we follow the steep trail with several ascent and descent until we reach to famous Tatopani village, where we have lunch and enjoy natural sauna and hot bathing in hot-spring. After relaxing moment in Tatopani we cross the suspension bridge over Budhi Gandaki River nearby Kerauja and enter into lush forest until we reach to Doban. Onward from Doban, we hike on rocky trail inside forest, and come across the large sandy beach, huge boulders and deep gorge. Again we cross suspension bridge and follow the trail in a beautiful terrain surrounded by pristine forest, and wider sandy beach just below Jagat village. Overnight in Jagat.

Day 06: Trek to Deng (1860m)

Today we walk in smooth trail alongside of Budhi Gandaki River. Leaving Jagat behind, we walk upstream via scatter forest, steep grass land until we reach to Nagjet village where we cross the suspension bridge and reach to Sirdibas bazar, a beautiful village with government offices, school and hospital. Leaving Sirdibas village behind we trek via grassy land. On the way we reach to Philim View Point, from where we enjoy views of Sirdibas village and beautiful hills around. Again we enter into forest, cross small streams and have several ups and down for about two hours until we reach to another beautiful village Ekle Bhati for lunch. After having lunch we follow the ascending trail via slop trail over grassy land until we reach to Deng Khola amidst bamboo forest. Alongside of Deng Khola, we walk in narrow gorge with steep road until we reach to paeaceful village called Deng. Overnight in Deng.

Day 07: Trek to Namrung (2630m).

After breakfast we take straight uphill trek via forest until we reach to Rana village. Now we can witness pine forest and different types of vegetation from yesterday as we are hiking in higher elevation. Budhi Gnadaki river also appears more harsh with rapid flow and we walk hill above the river. On the way we again enter in to forest and pass by beautiful farming terraces and Mani stones until we reach to Ghap village. Then crossing Bihi village we reach to beautiful Pork villages amid of well patterned farming terraces on the lap of forest. Pork place is vantage point of Siring Himal. After having lunch in Pork, we hike to west ridge just above the Pork village and curve to Ghapsya. Now trail enters into dense forest for two hours. Walking amidst forest in a peaceful pace with murmuring sound of Budhi Gandaki, we reach to a deep gorge nearby Namrung village. We cross steep trail with rubles and catch a smooth road to reach to Namrung. Upon reaching in Namrung we admire breathtaking view of Siring and Ganesh Himal as well as Mt. Himal Chuli. Overnight in Namrung.

Day 08: Trek to Lho (3180m).

After breakfast we hike towards grassy slope above Namrung with scattered forest and pass the landslide trail with boulders and debris. After landslide spot, we enter into wide meadows spotted with cattle and then enter into Benjam villages surrounded by beautiful farming terraces. Again we trek amidst forest with enchanting springs and waterfalls falling to Budhi Gandaki River on the other side of Budhi Gandaki river. On the way we pass the villages like Lhi, Sho and Shrip with many uphill and downhill trails. After Shrip we cross steep gorge and enter into Lho village. Lho is beautiful village of Tamang Gurung and Sherpa people, situated at foothill of green forest. Upon reaching to Lho we admire beautiful landscape of rugged terrain on the lower part and snow covered mountain on the upper part of opposite side of river. Upon arriving Lho we visit Ribum monastery and Manaslu View point, from where we admire alluring view of Mt. Manaslu. Overnight in Lho.

Day 09: Trek to Samagaun (3500m)

After having breakfast we follow the trail towards forest and descend on steep road with debris and boulders. After crossing small stream we enter into Shyala village where we pass by beautiful monastery. Ahead from Shyala, the road is constrain and challenging. We descend via forest on a sloppy trail on the ridge above the scary stream with debris and boulders. We cross the suspension bridge and again descend via steep trail to cross the suspension bridges over next stream. Just above stream we see wider well patterned farming terraces. Walking through farming terrace we reach to entrance of village, here we can visit Buddhist temple. Passing via lodge, guest house and tea houses we cross Sama village and hike to Samagaun. Overnight in Samagaun.

Day 10: Acclimatization Day in Samagaun

Acclimatization day in Samagaun is best opportunity to explore the Sherpa culture and life style of semi-Tibetan way of life of peole. Local Sherpa people in their traditional attires, practicing Tibetan Buddhism, engaging in tourist industry and agriculture, and various religious shrines like Gompa, Chortens, monasteries, and Mani walls are main attraction of Samagaun. Apart from religious and cultural richness, Samagaun also offers exotic natural beauty of Himalaya peaks, lakes, and glacier. We can visit Pungyen Gompa situated to the hill southwest hill from Samagaun. While visiting Pungyen Gompa, we walk across the debris of glacier coming from Manaslu. We can also hike to beautiful Birendra Lake and enjoy the pristine beauty of lake and the surrounding vegetation with picturesque snowcapped peaks. On the way to Birendra Lake, we can visit Nubri Pema Decho Ling Monastery. In evening we can tour around village and observe the religious ceremonies taking place in Chortens and Gompas. Overnight in Samagaun.

Day 11: Trek to Samdo (3860m).

After a well spent day in Samagaun, we follow the trail form lower Samagaun towards the juniper and pine forest on the ridge above Budhi Gandaki river. Today we follow the upstream route that goes smoothly for a whole day alongside of Budhi Gandaki River. After two hour trekking, we reach to confluence of a small stream coming from Birendra Lake and Budhi Gandaki River. The confluence is spread wider making the area full of debris, boulders and sand. Now onward, we continue walking alongside of river via forest with glimpse of Pangboche peak. On the way we cross a small stream until we reach to winter camp of sheep and yak herders, here we cross suspension bridge over Budhi Gandaki River and follow the trail towards Samdo village, situated between two rivers. Overnight in Samdo.

Day 12: Trek to Dharamasala (4480m).

Unlike previous day today we will have little strenuous hike as we climb more than 600m elevation in a naturally steep terrain. Leaving Samdo behind, we walk northwest and cross the suspension bridge over Budhi Gandaki River and enter into Larkya village. After Larkya we follow upstream route on the Larkya foothill alongside of river. The trail is steep and full of boulders and sands with small Himalaya shrubs and grasses. We cross small snow rivers and enter into the green meadows just below the scattered forest, spotted with Himalayan goat, yaks and winter camp of people. Walking through grazing meadows and Mani walls we cross the dangerous landslide and then follow the trail amid rugged and dry land until we reach to small settlement of Dharmasala neary by Larke Phedi. Overnight in Dharmasala.

Day 13: Cross the Larke pass (5213m) trek down to Bimtang (3720 m).

Today we will have most challenging hike to the highest point of our trek, the Larke Pass situated at elevation of 5231m from sea level. After fast we hike to a valley just above the Larkya glacier and to the Larke Bhanjyang. Now we follow the steep trail with sandy wind and rugged terrain and occasionally snow covered path. After 3 hours vigorous hike via the rubbles of glacier coming Larkya peak, we reach to Larke Pass. Upon arriving Larke Pass we hold spellbound by close view of Himlung, Cheo, Kanggru and the Annapurna and infinite Himalayan ranges straddling west-east before our eyes. After soaking in beautiful views, we trek down towards Bimtang following the trail on the foothill besides the Salpunda glacier. On the way we can visit Ponkar Lake and Nayamlo Lake situated between Ponkar, Salpunda and Kechayu Khola Glacier, before we reach to Bimtang. Upon reaching Bimtang we can trek to Mountain Viewpoint from where we admire splendid view Mt. Manaslu. Overnight in Bimtang.

Day 14: Bimtang to Tilije (2300m).

Today we admire beautiful sunrise reflected over glittering Manaslu, we trek downstream alongside of Dudh Khola. Today we trek via Manag district following the trail inside beautiful forest of pine and rhododendron flowers. Thorough out the way we enjoy mesmerizing snow peaked showcasing in front of us and murmuring river and pristine vegetation. We pass by beautiful hamlets like Chauri Kharka, Kahrche, and Gho. In Gho we will cross the confluence of two stream and walk alongside of Dudh Khola in a motorable way until we reach to beautiful village Tilije situated at foothill beside Dudh Khola. Overnight in Tilije.

Day 15: Trek to Dharapani and drive to Besisahar (760m).

Today is last day of our trekking. We cross the suspension bridge just below the Tilije and follow trail passing by paddy field and then to thick forest until we reach to Thonje village. While walking we enjoy aerial view of Marsyangdi River, and villages like Bagarchhap and Katre. On the way we enter into trekking route of Annapurna Circuit Trek, nearby Thonje and follow the stone paved route to Dharapani. After two hour trek we reach to Dharapani and take jeep ride via Besisahar- Chame highway. While driving to Besisahar we pass by beautiful villages like Tal, Arkhale and Khundi along with small streams and beautiful waterfalls. After 3-4 hour driving we reach Besisahar. Overnight in Besisahar.

Day 16: Drive from Besisahar to Kathmandu.

After breakfast, we drive downhill from Lamjung district to Dumre of Tanahu district. Via Prithivi highway we follow the road alongside of Marsyandi River until we reach to Mugling. After Mugling we enter into Chitwan district and to Dhading district. We drive alongside of Trishuli River which is popular for white water rafting. After 6-7 hours comfortable driving we reach to Kathmandu. After check in to hotel, stroll around or visit Thamel city for souvenir shopping. Today we will have farewell dinner in one of the popular boutique restaurants with typical Nepali cultural shows. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 17: Final Departure

We arrange airport transfer according to your flight schedules. If you have evening flight we can arrange the guided tour in Kathmndu valley. Our representative comes to your hotel and transfer you to TIA for farewell to your destination.

  • Yes, you can get on arrival tourist visa at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Most of people can obtain visa on entry to Nepal. There are some countries visa will needed to be organize prior to traveling. $25 for 15 days of visa from the date of issue, $40 for 30days and 100US$ for 90 days tourist visa. You need two photos.
