Day 01: Lhasa Arrival and Transfer to Hotel

Upon arriving at airport of train station our Tibetan Tour guide welcomes you to the roof of the world and escorts you to the hotel in downtown Lhasa. After check in Hotel, tour guide you brief about the major highlights of tour and laws and taboos of Tibet for your information and perusal. After that we have free time to stroll around and adopt he high altitude climate. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 02: Full Lhasa Sightseeing

After breakfast we drive to must see treasure of Lhasa, the Potala Palace, one of the excellent emblem of Buddhism and ancient architecture of Tibet. After short drive we reach to foothill, the entrance of Potala Palace and climb up via zigzag stone paved staircase with white and red coated walls. Upon reaching premises of Potala Palace, we enjoy aerial view of Lhasa city. After admiring views from outside we enter into inside of palace to explore the historical facts and cultural vividness. Enchanting wooden craving, murals, exquisite Thangkas, and sacred Buddhist halls are major attraction of the Potala Palace. Our next destination is Jokhang Temple situated at the old town of central Lhasa. The four story complex with bronze coated tile roof is combined of architectural designs of Han, Tibet, India and Nepal. The religious tolerance of Buddhism is portrayed here as it houses temples of different sects. We can observe various images of Lord Buddha which were brought to Chinese Princes Wencheng and Nepalese Princes Bhrikuti, murals, golden roof, Thangka and huge statues of Shakyamuni or Jowo Rinpoche. After Jokhang Temple, we visit nearby Barkhor Street, the famous sacred street of Tibet. Barkhor Street surrounds Jokhang Temple and houses brilliant stores which sell traditional Tibetan goods, religious items and souvenir items. We can see crowd of pilgrimage holding prayer wheels and walking on four foot to pay homage to Shakyamuni enshrined inside of Jokhang temple. After having unforgettable spititual day in Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple and surrounding Barkhor Street we return to hotel and have rest. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 03: Second Day Lhasa Sightseeing.

After having breakfast we drive to Norbulingka, the then home of Dalai Lamas and present days public park. The Portang, private rooms of Dalai Lamas, and epitome of Tibetan arts and architecture are main attraction of Norbulingka. Then we drive to Drepung Monastery, the Mother School of Dalai Lamas. Upon arriving to Drepung Monastery, we will be awestruck by magnificence architecture, wooden craving and historical monuments. Ganden Potrang, Coquen Hall, Zhaang, dramatic unfurling of large Buddha tapestry, and Chinaware are main attraction of Drepung Monastery. After lunch we will visit Sera Monastery which is famous for Monk Debates. After visiting Sera Monastery we drive back to Hotel. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 04: Drive Lhasa to Namtso Lake & back to Lhasa.

Today we will drive to exotic Namtso Lake. Either we can drive early morning and have round trip in a day or stay in Dmaxung for overnight. After breakfast, we drive via black topped road with alluring view of Nyainquentanglha ranges. On the way we will cross Ngela Pass of 5200m altitude, from where Namtso Lake originates. 95 km driving takes us to very peaceful and mesmerizing Namtso Lake, a heavenly lake with back dropping the snowcapped mountains. Picturesque landscape flagging with colorful praying flags and spotted with Yaks and Himalayan goats make perfect setting for taking photos. After well spent moments in Namtso, we drive further to Dmaxung for overnight stay. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 05: Drive from Dmaxung to Lhasa.

We drive back to Lhasa via same route that we used yesterday. We will reach Lhasa for lunch. After lunch we have leisure time to stroll around city and indulge in city life along with souvenir shopping. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 06: Final Departure

According to your flight schedule and travel plan we arrange drop off service to airport and train station. Our Tibetan tour guide escorts you to airport or train station and say good bye to you.
