Day 01: Arrive in Lhasa or train station (3650m/ 1192 ft.)

There are two ways to arrive in Lhasa. One 1 hour 15 minutes scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa over beautiful Himalaya range with a leg on each side of Nepal and China border is from Kathmdu, Nepal another is via China mainland of by train route from major city of China. After 1.5 hour driving from airport and train station takes you to Lhasa. Upon arriving in airport or train station Tibetan representative of Real Nepal Travels and Tour welcomes you and transfer to one of the famous hotel in Central Lhasa. After check in to Hotel freshen up and have orientation meeting with professional tour guide about major highlight of trip and be familiar with dos and dons , and manner and taboos while touring in religiously sacred place. Today we are advice to take rest in hotel to adapt in higher altitude. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Lhasa

After breakfast, we take taxi ride to reach to Sera Monastery. Located in the outside downtown of Lhasa, 2 km north from Lhasa, this monastery is famous for Buddhist debates. White washed walls with golden roof, decorated with praying flags, this monastery in fine example of ancient arts and architecture of Tibetan people. We reach to Sera Monastery before it opens at 9 am , so that we can get front seats to watch monk's debate. Though monks debate in Tibetan Language, we still have fun of the excitement and vigorous recite of the monks. Sera Monastery also provide aerial view of Lhasa city. Then, we drive southwest to visit Norbulingka, the summer palace for Darai Lamas. Known as the Jewel Park this monastery covers area of more than 36 hectors with the largest manmade garden. We can enjoy colors of religious ceremonies taking place in the palace complex. After visiting historical Norbulingka palace, we come back to city and head Barkhor Markets, a public square around Jokhang Temple. The polygon attached to various side roads is also known as saint's road which remains crowded with Buddhist devotees, who perform circumambulation. The elegant shops with valuable Tibetan artifacts and beautiful souvenirs attract us and we can wear Tibetan styled cloths for photo session. We can see pilgrims holding praying wheels and performing body –long kowtows on the stone paved roads to worship Jowo Rinpoche treasured in Jokhnag Temple. We also enter into the oldest Jokhang temple built by Songstan Gambo in 7th century. Popular as the House of Religious Science and the House of Wisdom since time od Bon Po religion, the 4 story building is combined with beautifully carved architectural styles of Han, Tibetan, India and Nepal. After spending a mystical day we enjoy Tibetan dinner in one of the best restaurant of Lhasa. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 03: Sightseeing in Lhasa.

Today we will visit the number one the must see attraction of Lhasa, the UNSECO listed World Heritage Site, The Potala Palace. Located in the Moburi Mountain just above the Lhasa city at the altitude of 3700 m from sea level, this palace is backdropped by enchanting snowcapped mountain chain and foregrounded by colorful Lhasa city. The highest palace in the world is symbolic architecture of Tibet, and treasure house of excellent arts, culture and history. Thirteen hundred years old palace houses many quarters, towers, chapels and statues. The majestic exterior of 13 layers with total height of 117 meter portrays enchanting wooden craving, murals, exquisite Thangkas, and sacred Buddhist halls are major attraction of the Potala Palace. After visiting Potala Palace, we move to Drepung Monastery, located in 8 km away from Lhasa. On the top of Gambo Utse Mountain, there is Mother Monastery of Dalai Lamas, which was house of more than 10.000 monks during its heydays. The while complexes dotted over rocky mountain are reachable after 30 minute hike on stone paved staircases. Upon reaching to Drepung Monastery, we will hold spellbound by grandeur architectural settings of Ganden Potrang, Coquen Hall, Zhaang, dramatic unfurling of large Buddha tapestry, and Chainware are main attraction of Drepung Monastery. After a spiritual visit, we drive back to Lhasa for overnight stay. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 04: Drive to Gyantse (3950m/12956ft) -265 km

Today we have early morning breakfast, and drive towards the third largest city of Tibet, Gyanste. We drive from southwest of Lhasa and travel via National Highway G318 for an hour, then take a turn towards provincial road to visit Yamdrok Lake. Following the raod alongside of Yamdrok Lake, with spectacular view we come across incredible Kharola Glacier. Now we move ahead, 77 km from Kharola Glacier to reach to cultural and historical city, Gyantse. Throughout the day we enjoy picturesque and unmissable view of mountain, lush green valleys and grazing meadows. Upon arriving Gyantse we check in to Hotel and have rest. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 05: Sightseeing & drive to Shigatse (3900m/12792ft) -92km

After breakfast we have Gyantse city tour to places of historical figures and cultural heritage. Firstly, we visit Gyantse Dzong Fortress, the pride of Gyantse. Located in west hill of Gyantse, historical fortress looks like mini Potala Palace and is also known as Gyantse Old Castel. This Dzong is one of the several left Dzongs from 14th Century and which was used to fight against British in 1904. The spectacular architecture which depicts important meaning of culture and history of Tibet, Anti-British Battery, Amban's Stone Table, Gyantse Dzong Government Meeting Hall and Rinpoche Hall are main attraction of this fortress. The panoramic view of Gyantse makes us enthralled. After a pleasant visit to Gyantse Dzong, we walk to nearby Palcho Monastery. Unlike from other Tibetan monastery, this complex is combined building of Stupas and temple of three sects of religion; Sakyapa, Kadampa and Gelugpa. The architecture of this monastery id carefully designed to house the religious shrines of three sects including Palcho Khumbum Stupa with gold dome. Myriad Buddha Stupa with 77 chapels, more than 10,000 images of Budhha , Main Assembly Hall and Palcho Monastery Mural are main attraction of Palcho Monastery. After lunch we drive to second largest city of autonomous Tibet. 90 km drive via national highway takes us to Shigatse. Upon arriving Shigatse, we will visit Tashihunpo Monastery situated at the top of Dromali. Tibetan Buddhist people respect this monastery as the place of "all fortune and happiness gathered here" or "heap of glory". Founded by first Dalai Lama in 1447, this monastery houses Future Buddha Statue, Panchen Lama's Stupa, Panchen Lama's Palace, Thangka Exhibition Platform, halls, and Chpels. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 06: Drive back to Lhasa and Overnight at Hotel

If time allows we can take side trip to Nepal of Everest Base Camp. After breakfast we take whole day drive back to Shigatse via Nyemo and Ringbung until we reach to Yarlung Zangbo River Valley. Today we travel via Sino-Nepal Friendship Highway and pass by Chusul, Kyi Chu River Vally for 6 hour. After reaching to Lhasa we check in to hotel and stroll around the city with our tour guide. Overnight in Hotel.
