Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1310m)

Upon arrival at Kathmandu, you will get transferred to the hotel. You can stroll around the city in the evening, and you can stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Full day Kathmandu exploration, Drive to Nagarkot in Evening (1.5 hrs)

After breakfast, we go on a guided tour of the ancient Kathmandu valley. The UNESCO listed world heritage sites in Kathmandu are its main attraction. The Basantapur Durbar square, Patan durbar square, and Bhaktapur durbar square take you back to the medieval times.

You will go on a heritage walk of the unique architectural settlements of Newar community. The delicious cuisine of the Newar community is mouth-watering. We also visit the religious site of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Swayambhunath (monkey temple).

In the evening, we climbed to the top of the Swayambhunath stupa and observed the beautiful sunset. We drive the adventurous road to arrive at Nagarkot and stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 03: Nagarkot sunrise view and Drive Kathmandu to Bhaktapur

Nagarkot (2100m) is a fantastic hill point famous for its sunset and sunrise view. We observe the spectacular sunrise from the viewpoint, which is 2 hours of a hike away. The panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains are awe inspiring.

Langtang Lirung, Annapurna ii, Ganesh Himal range and Mt Everest are some of the mountains seen from Nagarkot. After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu via Bhaktapur. You can stroll around Thamel in the evening and stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 04: Farewell Day

After breakfast, you will get transferred to the airport from where you can board a flight to your desired destination

Major Attractions of the Tour

Kathmandu Durbar Square

Kathmandu Durbar Square in the centre of the city is a UNESCO listed World Heritage site with many ancient monuments. The Kasthamandap temple, the Taleju temple, Hanuman Dhoka Palace, are the significant monuments of Kathmandu Durbar Square.

You can also visit the Kumari Ghar (House of the Living Goddess Kumari), and stay blessings from the goddess.

Patan durbar square

Patan durbar square is an open museum. The ancient heritage of the malla period is still present in the premises of the durbar square. The beautiful pagoda style temples and the Buddhist Bihars are the major attraction of the place. The Patan durbar square also boasts of many modern cafes, and restaurants that provide high quality food and stay.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Bhaktapur is on the eastern side of Kathmandu and is popularly known as the city of Devotees as there are hundreds of temples in the area. The town boasts of vibrant Newari culture, and festivals. The five-storeyed tall temple, 55 windows palace, the Pottery square and the museums are the major attractions in Bhaktapur.

Nagarkot

Nagarkot (2100m) is a fantastic hill point famous for its sunset and sunrise view. It is 32 km away from Kathmandu city and is a perfect one-night getaway spot for tourists and residents as well.

The winding road from Bhaktapur is quite adventurous. The view of the snow-capped mountains including Langtang Lirung, Annapurna ii, Ganesh Himal range and Mt Everest is awe-inspiring.

Pashupatinath Temple

Pashupatinath is the sacred site dedicated to Lord Shiva where Hindus pilgrims visit from all over the world. The shrine of Lord Pashupatinath is more than 2000 years. The cremation site on the banks of the holy Bagmati river where they burn of the dead bodies is an interesting site. The holy men with long hair and ashes are the central attraction in the premises of Pashupatinath temple.

Boudhanath Stupa

Boudhanath

Boudhanath Stupa is a majestic white dome and a sacred site of Buddhists all around the world. The premises of Boudhanath is also known as Little Tibet. More than 50 thousand Tibetan refugees inhabit the area.

The two eyes of Buddha is a message of peace to all over the world. The restaurants, hotels, the Thangka painting galleries are the major attraction of Boudhanath.

Swayambhunath

Swayambhunath is a sacred site for hindu and buddhist pilgrims from all over the world. The shrine of Swayambhunath sits atop a hill. You can get a spectacular view of the entire Kathmandu valley. Swayambhunath stupa is famous for having lots of monkeys, hence the name monkey temple.
